19 Affinity Designer | Affinity Photo – Ivy vector brush

In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a repeating image brush from a photographed ivy branch in Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer.

I use the Develop Persona of Affinity Photo to process the RAW image, mask out the ivy branch and crop the image down to the interesting part for the repeating vector image brush.

In Affinity Designer I align the image with two rectangle and create a new textured image brush.

This tutorial was created with Affinity Photo 1.5.2 & Affinity Designer 1.5.5 and recorded an edited with Camtasia:mac 2.10.8.

For sound recording, I use a ZOOM H1 recorder with a SONY ECM-CS3 microphone and Audacity for editing.

For video compression and web optimization of my tutorials, I use HandBrake version 1.0.7.
